Meet Nathan

Nathan Clay is a long time Delta County resident, educator, former Mayor of Delta, and former Delta City Council member. A graduate of Delta High School, Nathan returned home after building a career in production and logistics across the United States and abroad, because he believed Delta County was the best place to raise a family. He and his wife, Amanda, are raising their two children in the same community that has been home to generations of his family. Today, Nathan teaches fifth grade in Delta and remains deeply committed to the future of Delta County's businesses, families, and communities.

Nathan's record of public service is rooted in practical problem-solving and community collaboration. During his time on City Council and as Mayor, he helped make Main Street safer and more accessible, improved the efficiency of city government, secured a new future home for the Delta Police Department, and worked with local partners to relocate the public library and revitalize a long-underutilized downtown building. These experiences reinforced his belief that good government starts with listening, building trust, and bringing people together to solve problems.
